A bottle of Glenlochy 49 Year Old from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range. This was distilled in April 1952, matured in a single cask, and bottled in May 2001.

This is bottle number 266 of 311.

Glenlochy was built in Fortwilliam in 1898, a time of recession in the whisky industry. It fell silent during World War I and subsequently struggled in the difficult post-war economic conditions. The distillery was modernised in the 1960s, but suffered again in the early 1980s, a time that saw many distilleries being closed. Glenlochy was demolished in 1986 and is now offices and flats.

This Glenlochy 1952 49 Year Old The Old Malt Cask sold at our online auction for £1,550
