A bottle of Ardmore 21 Year Old. This was distilled in 1998, matured in a single cask, and bottled by Adelphi in 2017.

This is one of 236 bottles; it was bottled from cask number 149026.

Ardmore was founded in 1898 by William Teacher's son Adam, who decided that the family needed their own malt whisky distillery. It has been an important component in the Teacher's blend since the beginning, meaning it has remained understated as a single malt, with few official bottlings released. Aside from being, unusually, a peated Highland malt, it was also one of the last distilleries to switch from coal-fired to steam-heated stills.
