SMWS 66.25 Pink Ladies And Dark Chocolate Ardmore 1985 70cl / 52.3%
A 1985 vintage whisky from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This whisky was distilled at Ardmore distillery in March 1985, matured for 22 years, and bottled in May 2007. This was imported to Switzerland by Kraan and Richards.
This is subtitled: Pink ladies and dark chocolate.
Ardmore was founded in 1898 by William Teacher's son Adam, who decided that the family needed their own malt whisky distillery. It has been an important component in the Teacher's blend since the beginning, meaning it has remained understated as a single malt, with few official bottlings released. Aside from being, unusually, a peated Highland malt, it was also one of the last distilleries to switch from coal-fired to steam-heated stills.
