Description

A bottle of Glen Ord 12 Year Old. We estimate this was bottled in 1990s.

The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen.

Glen Ord distillery was built in 1838 and is the last remaining distillery in the Black Isle, a peninsula in the Scottish Highlands which was once a heartland of distillation, with both illicit and licenced distilleries operating in the area. It is one of the only distilleries which is self-sufficient in its malt requirements (the others being Roseisle and Springbank), and produces malt for all of Diageo's northern operations. Glen Ord has been available as a single malt since the 1980s, and has been bottled under names such as Glenordie, Ordie, Ord, and Muir of Ord.
