Description

A bottle of Ardmore 21 Year Old, released in 1999 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Teacher's brand.

Ardmore was founded in 1898 by William Teacher's son Adam, who decided that the family needed their own malt whisky distillery. It has been an important component in the Teacher's blend since the beginning, meaning it has remained understated as a single malt, with few official bottlings released. Aside from being, unusually, a peated Highland malt, it was also one of the last distilleries to switch from coal-fired to steam-heated stills.

This Ardmore 1977 100th Anniversary sold at our online auction for £310
