Description

A bottle of Glenlochy 1969 from Diageo's Rare Malts series. This was matured for 26 years and bottled at cask strength in the mid 1990s.

Glenlochy was founded by David McAndie in 1898 at Fort William, just in time for the worst recession the industry had seen. During its lifetime, most of Glenlochy's output was used for blends, with a large proportion finding its way to the US during the 1930s as the demand for Scotch whisky grew following Prohibition. The distillery closed permanently in the 1980s and has since been demolished.

This is bottle number 0303.
