Description

A bottle of Bols Half Om Half liqueur from the Netherlands. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

There are several different versions of the story behind Half and Half liqueur, but all agree that it was a happy accident.

Sometime in the 19th century, an assistant was asked to blend orange liqueur with brandy. However, the brandy was substituted with bitters in error. This new blend was considered a success and went on to be bottled by many liqueur producers in the Netherlands.
