Description

A bottle of Glenlochy 1974 Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky. This was distilled in 1974 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series. We estimate this was bottled in the early 1990s. This bottle was imported to Italy by Donini.

Glenlochy was built in Fort William in 1898, a time of recession in the whisky industry. It fell silent during World War I and subsequently struggled in the difficult post-war economic conditions. The distillery was modernised in the 1960s, but suffered again in the early 1980s, a time that saw many distilleries being closed. Glenlochy was demolished in 1986 and is now offices and flats.

This Glenlochy 1974 Connoisseurs Choice sold at our online auction for £340
