Bluff Your Way In Whisky & Make Your Own Scotch Whisky David Milsted & Adam Bergius
This lot contains two small books which offer a light-hearted look at the whisky industry:
Bluff Your Way in Whisky by David Milsted, published in 1992. This book explains how to come across as a whisky aficionado. This small excerpt from the introduction sets the tone: 'There are two eternal truths about whisky, (1) No two whiskies are alike, and (2) 99 per cent of whisky drinkers can't tell the difference until it's revealed to them. Keep pointing out number (1) while bearing number (2) in mind, and you can't go wrong.'
Make Your Own Scotch Whisky with original text by Adam Bergius (former Chairman and Export Director of Wm. Teacher & Sons) and illustrations by Rowland Emmett. This offers a humorous step-by-step guide to produce malt whisky. At the end of the instructions, once the whisky is made, the author concludes: 'However, as you have made it outside the law, you will not be allowed to call it anything, and, in fact, you had better keep very quiet about it.'
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
