Due to the label's raised lettering and lack of laser code, we estimate this was bottled between 2004 – when the brand replaced Old Rip Van Winkle 15yo with this expression – and 2007, the year Buffalo Trace began laser coding bottles with the bottling date.

As this was bottled before 2009, it's likely that this will contain whiskey from the Stitzel-Weller distillery after this was confirmed by Julian Van Winkle.
