Old Fitzgerald Original Sour Mash Bottled late 1970s Stitzel-Weller 76cl

A bottle of Old Fitzgerald Original Sour Mash which we estimate was bottled in the late 1970s as both imperial and metric measurements are given on the label. The United States required all bottles after 1 January, 1980, to declare metric measurements on the labels, however, some bottles produced during the transition displayed both units.

The Old Fitzgerald brand was distilled at Stitzel-Weller which closed in 1992. The duty stamp would suggest this bottle was imported into Italy sometime in the early 1980s.
