Highland Park Fire Edition 15 Year Old 70cl / 45.2%
A bottle of Highland Park 15 Year Old Fire Edition. Presented in a red glass bottle with an oak cradle.
Following on from Highland Park's Valhalla Collection, this release continues to delve into Norse mythology, paying homage to the Orkney Islands' Viking roots.
This is one of 28000 bottles.
The history of Highland Park distillery is shrouded in mystery. It was built on the remote island of Orkney in 1798 by farmer David Robertson, or the site of an old bothy of the priest turned whisky smuggler Magnus Eunson.
The first single malts were released in the 1970s and the distillery has become known for its use of Orcadian peat to dry the barley (lighter than mainland or Islay peat) and sherry casks for maturation.
