Description

This was distilled in 1967 and aged in single sherry cask #6426 and bottled in 2009 at 58.4% ABV. The cask was shared between LMdW and TWE, generating around 200 bottles for each retailer. This cask scored 95 points on Whiskyfun.com.

Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.
