Description

A 1995 bottling from Karuizawa distillery, this was bottled in 2009 after maturing in a Japanese wine cask at a strength of 66% ABV. This was bottled specially for Johan Hofvander and Tapani Kuusela.

Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.

Only 114 bottles exist.
