Description

A bottle of Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled at 66.05% ABV by Buffalo Trace distillery. This was imported to the UK by Hi-Spirits Ltd. The bottling code indicates this was bottled in 2014.

Buffalo Trace distillery was built in 1792 and was known by many other names, including George T Stagg distillery and Old Fire Copper distillery, before it was given the name Buffalo Trace in 1999. The name refers to an ancient buffalo crossing on the banks of the Kentucky river. It claims to be the oldest operational distillery in the US and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2013.
