A bottle of Highland Park 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2009 for Whisky Live.

This is one of 600 bottles; it was bottled from cask number 5742.

The history of Highland Park distillery is shrouded in mystery. It was built on the remote island of Orkney in 1798 by farmer David Robertson, or the site of an old bothy of the priest turned whisky smuggler Magnus Eunson.

The first single malts were released in the 1970s and the distillery has become known for its use of Orcadian peat to dry the barley (lighter than mainland or Islay peat) and sherry casks for maturation.
