Description

A litre bottle of Talisker 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Golden Spirit of the Isle of Skye. This was specially bottled in Scotland for The Distillers Agency Ltd., we estimate in the 1980s.

Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill and is the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson described it as 'the king o' drinks', and it is known for its powerful peat smoke and maritime character.
