Description

A miniature bottle of Clynelish 12 Year Old, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail.

We estimate this was bottled in the late 1970s to early 1980s, in which case it would have been distilled in the original Clynelish distillery, now known as Brora.

The Clynelish distillery we know today was built in 1968 alongside the original Clynelish, which was subsequently renamed Brora. The distillery was owned by Distillers Company Limited (later United Distillers then Diageo). The malt, known for its waxy character, has played an important role in Johnnie Walker blends.
