A bottle of Aultmore 12 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky. We estimate this was bottled in the 1980s.
A 'dram for the Buckie road' is how the locals refer to Aultmore, a little-known Speyside distillery which has been producing malt whisky since 1897. It was founded by Alexander Edward, an important figure both in Scotland's whisky and tourism history, and in 1923 the distillery was bought by John Dewar & Sons. It has been highly prized as a blending malt, so official bottlings were rare until the range was expanded in 2014 to include 12, 21, 25, and 30 year old expressions.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
