Description

A bottle of Glen Albyn 26 Year Old, distilled on 17 April 1974 and bottled from a single cask. This was bottled by Direct Wines Limited for their First Cask series and was available exclusively to First Cask Circle Members.

This is bottle number 215 from cask number 1593.

This comes with a pamphlet with a history of the distillery and tasting notes.

Glen Albyn was founded in 1846 by James Sutherland, a local landowner and mayor of Inverness. After a turbulent history, including time spent as a US naval base for mine manufacturing, Glen Albyn closed for good in 1983, and was demolished a few years later.

This Glen Albyn 1974 sold at our online auction for £330
