Description

A litre bottle of Cusenier liqueur which is missing the main label. We estimate this was bottled in the 1930s.

This bottle originally belonged to the seller's mother who owned Hôtel des Voyageurs, Normandy. In the lead up to World War II, a false wall was constructed to hide her belongings in a secret cellar. This was one of the bottles that was discovered after the cellar was reopened following the end of the war.

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. The main label is mostly missing. This bottle contains sediment.

This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
