A miniature bottle of Suntory Kakubin blended Japanese whisky. This was imported to Italian market, we estimate in the 1970s.
This blend was first introduced in 1937 and is good example of lighter-style Japanese whisky. 'Kakubin' means 'square bottle'.
This lot comes from the extensive collection of a Merseyside collector who began his hobby with bottles bought for guests as digestifs at private dinner parties in the early 1970s. His interest led to him advertising in the UK national newspapers, and buying and selling bottles as far afield as Australia, America and Ireland, with his last significant addition being a collection he purchased from Stoke On Trent in 1984.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and tax strip. The tax strips entirely obscures the original closure so these cannot be inspected.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
