Description

A miniature bottle of Chartreuse Yellow liqueur from France. We estimate this was bottled in the late 1950s to early 1960s.

Please note, there is no size stated on the label, but this appears to be 3cl.

Chartreuse has been produced by Carthusian monks in France since 1737. In the early 20th century, the monastery and distillery were nationalised by the French government. The monks, unwilling to give up their secret recipe, moved production to Tarragona, Spain. They later returned home and today all Chartreuse is produced in France.
