Campbeltown Whisky Auction

Bottle Auction

Description

A bottle of Springbank distilled in April 2000. Initially aged for six years in refill bourbon casks and then for another six years in fresh Calvados casks before bottling at 12 years old in October 2012.

This is one of 9420 bottles.

Springbank is a family-owned Campbeltown distillery, founded in 1828. The complete process of whisky production is carried out on site, from malting the barley to bottling the whisky. Today, it is one of only three distilleries remaining in Campbeltown.

This Springbank 2000 sold at our online auction for £90

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the box. The capsule is slightly loose, but it appears to be secure.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
