Campbeltown is a town on the Kintyre peninsular which was once home to more than 30 whisky distilleries. Today, just three remain: Springbank, Glen Scotia and Glengyle (Kilkerran). Campbeltown is noted for its full bodied, peaty whiskies which have been described as the double basses of the whisky orchestra.
