A 20 Year Old whisky from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This was distilled at Rosebank distillery on 1 July 1991, matured in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead, and bottled at cask strength.
This bottling is subtitled: Classy and attractive.
This is one of 205 bottles.
Rosebank was a Lowland distillery that operated on the same site from 1840 until it was mothballed in 1993. The whisky produced there typified the light, floral Lowland style, and like some of its neighbours, the whisky was triple-distilled. Jim Murray (Whisky Bible) maintained that Rosebank should be ranked in the top 5 of all Scottish malts.
