Description

A bottle of Campbeltown 1972 vintage single malt Scotch whisky, produced by J & A Mitchell at the Springbank distillery for Tesco stores, we estimate in the 1990s.

The back label reads: © Tesco '91.

This is bottle number 5745.

Springbank is a family-owned Campbeltown distillery, founded in 1828. The complete process of whisky production is carried out on site, from malting the barley to bottling the whisky. Today, it is one of only three distilleries remaining in Campbeltown.

This was sealed in the original packaging on arrival at our offices. We opened it for the first time to inspect the contents.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
