Description

A bottle of Talisker 1958 with the eagle design label. This was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail and imported to France by SNPA, we estimate in the late 1970s to early 1980s.

Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill and is the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson described it as 'the king o' drinks', and it is known for its powerful peat smoke and maritime character.

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear and discolouration to the label.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
