A bottle of Talisker 27 Year Old Maritime Edition. This was distilled in 1985, matured in refill American oak casks, and bottled at cask strength in 2013 for Diageo's Special Releases series.

This maritime edition is decorated with nautical signal flags.

This is bottle number 2046 of 3000.

Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill and is the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson described it as 'the king o' drinks', and it is known for its powerful peat smoke and maritime character.
