A bottle of Talisker 34 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye. This was distilled in 1975, matured in a single American oak refill cask, and bottled at natural cask strength. This is presented in a boat-shaped cabinet which includes a copper ingot from Talisker's wash still, and comes with a pair of Glencairn Crystal tumblers.
This is bottle number 116 of 250; it was bottled from cask number 4982.
Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill and is the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson described it as 'the king o' drinks', and it is known for its powerful peat smoke and maritime character.
