Description

A litre bottle of Arquebuse tonic liqueur from Distilleria Comar & C., an Italian liqueur flavoured with a variety of herbs and extracts. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

Arquebuse, also known as Acqua di Arquebuse, was originally created in France in 1857 by herbalist Frère Emmanuel, and was used to heal wounds inflicted by the firearms of the day, such as the long barreled rifle known as an Arquebus.

This Comar Arquebuse sold at our online auction for £14
