A litre bottle of Maraschino produced by Stock in Trieste, Italy. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.
Maraschino liqueur is made from the Marasca cherries grown along the Dalmatia coast, Croatia. It was first produced on an large scale by Venetian merchant Francesco Drioli. The traditional square green bottles were originally produced by Murano, and the straw covering, known as a fiasco, was introduced to protect the bottles during transit.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and cap.
