Karuizawa 1985 Cask #2364 30 Year Old - Artifices Series LMDW 70cl / 55.2%

A bottle of Karuizawa 30 Year Old Artifices Series. This was distilled in August 1985, matured in an ex-sherry cask, and bottled in August 2015 for French whisky merchant La Maison du Whisky.

This is bottled from cask number 2364.

The whisky was distilled in the 1985 and selected by La Maison du Whisky. The Artifices Series was launched at Whisky Live Paris 2014 and features labels designed by a number of different artists – this label was designed by Warren Khong from Singapore.

Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.
