A bottle of Old Fashioned Copper vintage Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, distilled in 1990 and matured for almost 30 years at what is now Buffalo Trace distillery. This bottling honours the OFC distillery and is presented in a hand-cut crystal bottle. The lacquered wooden case features copper detail and a revolving centre. This is the first time a bottle of this whiskey has been released to UK shores. It is not available commercially.
This is bottle number 59 of 63 from a single barrel.
OFC Distillery was so-named by Colonel EH Taylor Jr. in 1870. The state-of-the-art distillery featured copper fermentation vats, column stills, and a pioneering steam heating system, the first of its kind in the US, still used today. The distillery was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2013, and today we know it by the name Buffalo Trace.
