Description

A bottle of Karuizawa 1972. This was distilled in 1972, matured in a single sherry butt, and bottled in 2008.

This is one of 528 bottles; it was bottled from cask number 7290.

This release scored 93 points on Whiskyfun.com.

Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Sadly, Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.
