A bottle of Suze à la Gentiane from France, a bitter aperitif made from Gentiane roots. The label says: Drink it cold, keep it in the fridge and do not serve with ice. This was imported to Italy by Rinaldi, we estimate in the 1950s.
This has an addition label which reads: 1961.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the labels and wear to the tax strip. This contains some sediment.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
