A litre bottle of Chartreuse VEP liqueur, bottled in 2003. The bottle and wax seal are an exact replica of those used in up until 1840.
The Carthusian monks that produce Chartreuse select a small portion of the liqueur each year for extra ageing. VEP stands for 'Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé', which translates as 'exceptionally prolonged aging'.
This is bottle number 17039.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. The box is damaged, but is included in the lot.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
