A bottle of Woodford Reserve Maple Wood Finish, released as part of the Master's Collection. This was distilled in copper pot stills and finished in Maple wood barrels.
This is bottle number 12375 of 18282.
The original Woodford Reserve distillery was founded by Elijah Pepper in 1797. The current site was built in 1838. It was sold to Leopold Labrot & James Graham in 1878, who owned it through Prohibition and into World War Two. After wartime restrictions bankrupted Labrot & Graham, the distillery was taken over by Brown-Forman.
The distillery then operated until 1968 when the distillery was mothballed and abandoned for decades. In 1993 Brown-Forman took the decision to install new pot stills and production resumed in 1994.
