A very old hand-blown bottle of Luxardo. There is no label, size or ABV stated, but this appears to be approximately 60cl. We believe this to be a bottle of Maraschino liqueur, Luxardo's flagship product.
The seal embossed on the shoulder reads: I.R.I. Priv Prem Fab G Luxardo, Zara.
Zara is the old name of modern day Zadar in Croatia.
We estimate this was bottled in the 1890s to 1900s. This bottle comes from a family cellar in Nottingham where it has been held for as long as the family can remember.
Please see condition statement prior to bidding.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the labels and the seal. There is sediment in the bottle. This bottle has had some leakage in the past, and as such is available for collection only. This lot is offered for historical interest rather than for human consumption.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak further.
