Description

A bottle of Vat 69 blended Scotch whisky. The brand dropped its 8 Year Old age statement in the early 1940s and we estimate that this was bottled shortly afterwards.

The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to HM King George VI.

There is handwritten note on the back which reads: Purchased on the Highland Monarch 1946 Bottled 1934+.

As George the VI was crowned in 1936, the handwritten bottling date cannot be correct.

There is no size or ABV stated on the label.

This Vat 69 sold at our online auction for £200
