A bottle of Campari Bitter liqueur. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.
Campari was invented in a Milan coffee shop by Gaspare Campari in 1860. It is a bitter liqueur flavoured with 68 herbs, fruits and spices. Until 2005, Campari's vivid red colour was obtained from cochineal.
