Karuizawa 1983 Nepal Appeal Charity Bottle No.2 70cl / 59.1%
All proceeds from the sale of this lot will be donated to Nepalese charities working to provide aid in the aftermath of the devastating earthquakes that took place in the country earlier in 2015.
This is a special charity bottling of Karuizawa 1983, which was created specially for attendees of the Nepal Appeal Karuizawa Masterclass, which took place on 3 October 2015 at The Whisky Exchange Whisky Show 2015.
The 45 attendees of the class tried five incredibly rare Karuizawa bottlings, including the 1983 cask #3557, and all received a full bottle of the whisky to take home. Tickets to the class were oversubscribed and were sold through a ballot for £6,000 each.
Each bottle is engraved with a cherry-blossom design, picked out in gold, and each was hand-labelled and uniquely numbered. Only 50 were made.
This is bottle number 2.
