Jura 1969 Lord Astor 70cl

A bottle of Jura 1969, bottled for Lord Astor, one of the main landowners on the Isle of Jura.

This bottle was given to the seller by the family of Lord Astor.

A member of Lord Astor's family remembers the visit to the Jura distillery:

'We must have gone to taste various barrels at the Jura distillery in about 1978. It was chosen but William did not want to fork out the cost of the duty then so I don’t think it was bottled until the 1990s. There are not many left now so it is a collector's piece!'
