Description

A bottle of Port Charlotte 16 Year Old Heavily Peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

This was distilled from Scottish barley in 2003 and divided into three parcels which were matured separately before vatting. The first parcel was matured in refill hogsheads and transferred to first-fill bourbon barrels in 2012. The second parcel started in first-fill bourbon barrels before being refilled to Sauternes casks in 2013. The third parcel was matured in a combination of sherry, bourbon and virgin oak casks.

This was originally destined to be a Feis Ile 2020 release, but was sold via an online ballot once the festival was cancelled.

This is bottle number 929 of 3000 bottles.
