A half bottle of Talisker Natural High Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was distilled on 28 May and 12 May 1955, matured in three casks and bottled at a cask strength of 53.6% ABV in October 1993 as part of the Cask Strength series.
This was bottled from cask numbers 1310, 1311 and 1257.
Talisker was founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill and is the oldest distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson described it as 'the king o' drinks', and it is known for its powerful peat smoke and maritime character.
