This was donated by Cara Laing on behalf of Douglas Laing & Co. to raise money for The Maclean Foundation
A bottle of Cameronbridge 43 Year Old XOP Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky. This was distilled in January 1978, matured in a single refill barrel and bottled in September 2021.
This is bottle number 001 of 200.
'Douglas Laing’s Extra Old Particular Series includes only “the oldest, rarest and finest of the family’s vault of single casks”. This bottle was generously donated by Cara Laing, the family company’s Director of Whisky, who describes the whisky as “…opening with fine wood, Madagascan vanilla pods and subtle liquorice… then dark fruit gums, strawberry jam and a touch of peppermint. The finish is long, with peppery spice, Scottish toffee pudding and a warm toffee sauce”.' Charlie Maclean.
