Description

A bottle of Craigellachie 1993 27 Year Old Sauternes Finish Batch Number CR1393.

'Distilled in April 1993 the spirit was initially matured in ex-bourbon, re-fill and re-charred casks, then re-racked for just under two years into French Sauternes barriques, under the supervision of Stephanie Macleod, Master Blender with John Dewar & Sons, the owner of Craigellachie Distillery. Stephanie generously donated this bottle, part of Dewar’s limited edition Exceptional Cask Series. Many thanks, Stephanie; her tasting note concludes: “Criagellachie’s robustness has been perfectly tempered by the intense sweetness of the Sauternes”.' Charlie Maclean
