'In 2016, the Society bottled the first of a unique collection of single cask malt whiskies. A single cask is carefully selected and bottled to coincide with the autumn banquet. The number of bottles available depends on the type of cask chosen and reflects the highest calibre that the Scotch Whisky industry can offer. Colour: Soft and gentle, straw-like gold
Nose: Hints of lemon meringue followed by bursts of tropical fruit and a rich dry oakiness
Palate: The fruity presence remains whilst well-hidden smokiness and trademark peppery notes are unleashed on the palate
Finish: A warm and comforting dram with a surprisingly formidable deep smoky finish
Highland Park 1998, refill American hogshead
Colour: Yellow gold, bright. Slow legs
Nose: Juicy fruit. Butter on warm scones. A barley field at harvest, mango, yuzu, and honeycomb
Palate: Silky with summery fruit jellies, wild flower honey, tangerine and sweet spices
Water coaxes out wispy smoke
Finish: Floral and slightly powdery when neat. More spiced with water
Tamnavulin 22 Year Old, Bourbon cask finished for 2 years in German Spatburgunder cask
Colour: Autumnal gold with a soft pink blush
Nose: Syrupy alcohol-soaked raisins with juicy peaches and a suggestion of dark chocolate – genuine indulgence
Palate: Gentle explosion of sugary sweetness gives way to vanilla panna cotta and rich spices
Finish: An exceptionally long, warming and deeply satisfying dram.'
