A bottle of Pappy Van Winkle's 23 Year Old Family Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, bottled by Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery, Frankfort. This was imported to England by Hi-Spirits Ltd. The back label reads:

The three generations of Van Winkles pose for a photo in front of their family distillery in 1961. This rare bottling honors Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle who was the first of the family to enter the distilling industry.

This bottle comes from the collection of Richard Crobar, owner of The Crobar in London’s Soho for 20 years until its closure during Covid. In storage since then, Richard has decided it's time to put the collection up for sale. He says: ‘If you end up owning one or more of them, I hope they give you as much pleasure as they have given me over the years.
