A bottle of Karuizawa that was distilled in March 1981 and matured in an ex-sherry cask. It was bottled in April 2014 by Number One Drinks Company.

This was bottled from cask number 152.

Karuizawa was founded in 1955 and was Japan’s smallest whisky distillery. In 1959, it became the first distillery to export whisky overseas. Karuizawa distillery stopped production in 2000 and closed for good in 2011.
